About the studio
The building on the river that gave the studio its name.
Old Mill Studio was founded in 2019 by two designers who had worked together at a larger practice for several years and wanted to take on fewer, slower projects. We rent the upper floor of a former grain mill; the wheel still turns when the river is high.
We work on interiors for private homes and small hospitality spaces, on visual identities for companies that want to look like themselves rather than like their competitors, and on books and printed matter when the subject is worth the paper.
Most projects start with a long conversation and a site visit. We do not run social media accounts and do not publish work before the client has lived with it for a while.
